Angel (Schubert's Silver Duchess by Ch. JCKing Doodles x Ch.
Schubert's
Littlest Angel) was presented to me by a wonderful German woman, Emma
Schubert, who had one of the top Toy Poodles in the country in the
mid-60s. Mrs. Schubert was my friend and mentor, and taught me all
the basics for my budding hobby. She even taught me the fine art of
grooming a poodle, giving me her champion to practice on! Mrs. Schubert wanted to do something very nice for me, something that
would give me a hope for the future. My 17-year old brother, Roger,
and her son were involved in a car accident. Roger, the passenger,
was killed instantly.
His friend was devastated at the tragedy, and we tried to help him
over his
grief as well. Our sweet little Poodles were a loving bond between us, and a comfort for us all.
Angel was the mother of Winnie the Pooh; we bought Cheree as a pup.
